Shipping and Delivery Policy
This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how Inky Dinky Saddles dispatches and delivers orders.
It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions of Sale and Website Use, Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy, and Purchase Options, Pre-Orders and Subscription Cancellation Policy.
The legal seller of your order will be the relevant Inky Dinky company identified at checkout and in your order confirmation.
1. Where We Deliver
We deliver to the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and a range of international destinations.
Available countries, delivery services, estimated delivery times and shipping charges are shown at checkout.
If your country is not available at checkout, please contact us at enquiries@inkydinkysaddles.com before placing an order. We may be able to arrange delivery, depending on the destination, carrier availability and applicable import requirements.
We may be unable to deliver to certain locations due to carrier restrictions, sanctions, legal requirements, remote-area limitations or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
2. Processing and Dispatch Times
Dispatch times depend on stock availability and the product ordered.
For in-stock products, we aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe shown on the relevant product page or at checkout. Pre-order items, made-to-order items and products temporarily out of stock may take longer to dispatch. Where this applies, the expected dispatch timeframe will be shown on the product page, at checkout or in your order confirmation.
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding relevant public holidays.
If there is a significant or unexpected delay to your order, we will contact you using the email address supplied at checkout and explain the available options.
3. United Kingdom Delivery
UK saddle orders are normally sent using DPD Local and are usually delivered within two business days after dispatch.
Saddles are normally sent fully assembled and ready to use in a large, double-skinned cardboard box. They are securely wrapped in protective packaging to help ensure they arrive safely.
Packaging is included in the price of our saddles.
UK saddle deliveries are sent using a tracked service. Tracking details will be sent by email and, where available and selected, by text message when your order has been dispatched.
Smaller products and accessories may be sent separately or by a different tracked carrier where this is more suitable for the order.
4. USA, EU & International Delivery
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, shipping charges and delivery times vary according to the destination, parcel size, stock location and carrier service selected.
International orders are normally sent using DHL Express, UPS or another suitable tracked delivery service.
Estimated delivery times shown at checkout are estimates only. They may be affected by stock availability, customs clearance, local carrier capacity, remote-area delivery and events outside our reasonable control.
From August 2026, most orders delivered within the United States may be fulfilled from available US stock. The dispatch location, carrier and estimated delivery timeframe for your order will be shown at checkout or in your order confirmation.
5. Multiple Saddles and Larger Orders
If you wish to purchase more than one saddle for delivery outside the United Kingdom, please contact us at enquiries@inkydinkysaddles.com before ordering.
The shipping cost shown at checkout may be reduced for larger or combined orders, depending on the destination and courier service available.
6. Accessories Ordered with a Saddle
Where accessories are purchased with a child’s saddle, we will normally send them together with the saddle where practical. This helps reduce packaging and international shipping costs.
Occasionally, items may need to be sent separately because of stock availability, packaging requirements or delivery restrictions. Where this happens, we will not charge additional shipping unless this has been clearly agreed with you before dispatch.
7. Tracking, Delivery Updates and Delivery Instructions
Where a tracked service is used, tracking details will be provided after dispatch.
It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address, email address and telephone number at checkout. Please check these details carefully before placing your order.
Where a carrier offers delivery preferences, safe-place delivery, signature options, delivery changes or collection-point services, these arrangements are made directly between you and the carrier. We cannot guarantee that a requested delivery instruction will be accepted or followed by the carrier.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to amend your delivery address. Once an order has been dispatched, we may not be able to make changes and additional carrier charges may apply.
8. Failed Delivery, Incorrect Addresses and Uncollected Parcels
If an order is returned to us because:
- the delivery address was incomplete or incorrect;
- delivery attempts were unsuccessful;
- the parcel was not collected from a collection point;
- you refused delivery without contacting us first; or
- required import charges were not paid;
we will contact you to discuss redelivery or refund options.
Where permitted by applicable law, we may deduct the actual unrecoverable costs we have incurred, including outbound shipping, return shipping, customs charges, carrier handling charges and storage charges, from any refund due.
9. Taxes, VAT, Customs Duties and Import Charges
The total shown at checkout will identify any taxes, delivery charges or duties that are included in your order.
United Kingdom
UK VAT is charged where applicable and will be shown at checkout.
European Union
For EU deliveries, applicable VAT is calculated and collected at checkout.
Where checkout clearly states that taxes and duties are included, no further import charges should be due from you on delivery, except where charges arise because of incorrect information supplied by you, a delivery refusal or another circumstance outside our control.
United States
For current US orders, import duty and tariffs are collected direct from the customer by DHL in addition to the total price at checkout. After August 2026 applicable sales taxes will be shown and collected at checkout where required.
Orders fulfilled and delivered within the United States after August 2026 should not be subject to international import duties. Where a US order is shipped internationally, any applicable tax or import information will be shown at checkout where available.
Other International Destinations
For deliveries outside the UK, EU and USA, local VAT, GST, sales tax, customs duties, import charges or carrier administration fees may apply.
Unless checkout clearly states that taxes and duties are included, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient. They are set by the destination country or carrier and are outside our control.
You are responsible for checking that the goods can legally be imported into your country and for paying any required import charges.
10. Customs Delays
International orders may be delayed by customs authorities or local import procedures.
We cannot control customs processing times. However, we will provide reasonable assistance if the carrier requires information from us to help release the shipment.
Customers are responsible for promptly providing any information, identification or payment required by the carrier or customs authority.
11. Delivery Delays, Lost Parcels and Damaged Deliveries
We aim to meet the delivery estimates shown at checkout, but delivery dates are not guaranteed unless we have specifically agreed a guaranteed delivery service in writing.
If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us at enquiries@inkydinkysaddles.com and we will investigate with the carrier.
Please inspect your parcel and products as soon as possible after delivery. If an item arrives damaged, incomplete, incorrect or not as described, contact us promptly with your order number and photographs where possible.
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights. For consumer orders, we remain responsible for the goods until they are delivered into your physical possession, or the possession of a person you have identified to receive them.
12. Pre-Orders
Pre-order items are not available for immediate dispatch.
The estimated dispatch date will be shown on the product page, at checkout or in your order confirmation. These dates are estimates and may change due to production, supplier, freight, customs or stock delays.

Please note that failure to pay any customs duty or taxes will result in the order being returned to us, Any costs incurred including, shipping, return shipping and courier charges will be deducted from the refund of the order.
Returns
We hope you will love your Inky Dinky saddle, but if for any reason you would like to return your saddle, you have 30 days from receipt to return it for a full refund minus shipping fee (as long as the child’s saddle has not been used.)
